It seems like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s moms are spending quality time together before they officially become in-laws. On Sunday, January 25, Andrea Swift and Donna Kelce were photographed at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Momma Swift and Momma Kelce hang out—they’ve attended a few Kansas City Chiefs games together in the past, including the Super Bowl.
While Tay and Trav weren’t spotted at Sundance, their moms rolled up in style. Andrea wore a patterned jacket with snow boots and Donna donned a floor-length gray coat while they linked arms and posed for a photo.
Ever since Taylor and Trav went public with their romance in September 2023, Donna has had nothing but nice things to say about her Arrowhead Stadium suite buddy.
“I can tell you this,” Donna told WSJ. Magazine in 2023. “He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time... God bless him, he shot for the stars!” She also praised Taylor’s talent after she dropped The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024, telling People, “I was just very impressed. She is a very talented woman, and I think it is probably her best work.”
And, of course, we know that Momma Swift fully approves of Taylor’s fiancé. In The End of an Era documentary, Andrea explained how she played matchmaker with Taylor and Travis ahead of her Eras Tour stop in New Orleans, saying that she initially caught wind of the NFL player when he talked about pulling up to the Kansas City show with a friendship bracelet on New Heights.
Andrea then consulted her football-obsessed cousin, who gave her some intel on Travis: “She said, ‘Oh, my God. He’s the nicest guy. And you know what? He really loves his mom.’”
“I went, Ding, ding, ding. Now, how in the world am I gonna get her to meet him?” Andrea asked, as Taylor added that her dating history didn’t typically consist of athletes.
Now, our English teacher and our gym teacher are getting married! And they seem to be taking their time with wedding planning. According to Daily Mail insiders, Tay is trying to lift Travis’ spirits after the Chiefs didn’t make the NFL playoffs in November.
“Taylor is trying to put him in a better mood by spending more time with him and not bombarding him with wedding plans,” the source said, amid reports that the athlete could potentially retire after the season.
“She would want him to focus on [the wedding] after he makes his career decision because she knows how important that is to him.”
